Install Floor or Paint Walls First?

You could install the floor or paint the walls first either. Ask your painting contractor or flooring contractor when they recommend. A bit depends on how the floor is going to be installed.

If you paint the walls first, then the paint cannot splatter on your new floors. But while the floors are being installed, they could damage the lower portion of the wall which would require touching up.
