Lead Based Paint Information

Paint manufacturers haven't used lead in paint since the early 1970's, and even then not all manufacturers used lead. Some never did.

If you are doing an interior painting or exterior painting project and are concerned about the possibility of lead, then you can purchase a lead test kit from your local paint store. This will tell you if the paint contains lead. If it does, contact your local town/city to find out the proper way to dispose of it.
